Top 5 Benefits of Industrial Mixers for the Sanitary and Chemical Industries

Compliance

Industrial mixing equipment must meet certain health and safety standards set by the FDA, USDA, and 3-A. Our sanitary chemical mixers meet all regulatory requirements for sanitary chemical mixing, putting manufacturers and consumers at ease.

Hygienic

Our stainless steel industrial mixers are made with durable materials that are easy to clean, corrosion-resistant, and free from hidden crevices, minimizing the risk of bacterial contamination.

Sanitary Seals & Fittings

Our industrial mixers are easy to clean and sanitize, allowing for hygienic equipment operation that prevents product contamination. We particularly want to prevent bacteria and other microorganisms from growing that can cause products to be contaminated.

Reduced Processing Times

Our mixers are known for their efficient mixing cycles that shorten batch times, minimize downtime, and improve product quality.

Types of Industrial Mixing Machines

Sanitary

Sanitary processing mixers produce pre-mixes, slurries, and finished products for food, beverages, dairy products, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, salad dressings, sauces, and pet foods. Our sanitary mixers meet all quality, safety, and efficiency standards for sanitary mixing.

Chemical

Industrial mixers produce pre-mixes, slurries, and final products for coatings, paints, lubricants, various types of emulsions, and sealants that meet all quality and safety standards.

Top Entry

Top entry sanitary mixers are designed for small to large-scale mixing applications involving anywhere from one liter to 10,000 gallons of liquid. Available in low and high shear models, they homogenize and disperse materials in the hygienic and chemical industries. Some models even mix more viscous creams, pastes, and paints.

High Viscosity

High-viscosity mixers are ideal for materials that are highly viscous and hard to mix. Featuring multiple high-speed mixing blades instead of one, these mixers produce more uniform products quicker than other mixer types. Multi-shaft mixers work particularly well for sticky ingredients.

High Shear

High shear mixers homogenize materials efficiently to produce high-quality products. We can design a custom mixer upon request to meet your unique processing needs.

Portable Mixers

Portable mixers come in multiple shapes, sizes, and speeds and mix materials of varying viscosities. They mix and blend liquids in either an IBC tote or a drum. These mixers are lightweight, cost-effective, and powerful for various mixing applications.

Common Mixing Applications

In-Tank Mixing

This traditional blending method is thorough but time-consuming. First, ingredients are added to a blending tank where they’re combined until a homogeneous mixture is produced. The manufacturer extracts and analyzes a product sample to ensure a high-quality blend.

The problem is that if the mixture isn’t blended properly, more ingredients must be added, mixed, and re-analyzed until the right solution is reached. This process can take up to several hours, which many manufacturers can’t afford.

High Shear
High shear in-tank mixing is efficient and produces a uniform blend. High shear in-tank mixers are effective at quickly dispersing powders into liquids and shortening batch times while producing repeatable, high quality blends.

Low Shear
Low shear in-tank mixing, is effective for creating uniform suspensions, blending miscible liquids, keeping product agitated, and promoting heat transfer.

Inline Mixing

Static mixers are used for inline mixing, which involves pumping liquid through a pipeline between two points. Static mixers utilize direction change and flow division to mix liquids. Inline high shear mixers are used for reducing particle size, blending product while pumping to another process, or finishing a batch. They are easy to install and have a small footprint for easy installation.

Powder Induction

Industrial powder mixing equipment combines and disperses dry powders quickly into liquid solutions in the food processing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and cosmetics industries. Powder induction produces uniform solutions that are free from clumps. Powder induction equipment is efficient, hygienic, and produces consistently smooth products.
